I love exploring new restaurants...and finding a new, yummy place is excellent! When in NYC earlier this week, hubs and I did just that.
We visited Peep in Soho for Thai fusion and loved the entire experience. Located at 177 Prince Street, Peep has a slight disco feel to it because everything is very white and stark and there are pink neon lights. It sounds funky, but it was actually quite comfortable and energetic at the same time.
Make sure you have a cocktail! Each one is made with fresh, pureed fruit or other goodies (like ginger!). They are delish.
Starters were crispy calamari (with fantastic sauce that I wanted to drink) and steamed spinach dumplings. Yum!
We also had the portobello mushroom and crab soup. My favorite! It was thick, hearty, and downright delicious.
Lastly, we had the face towel noodles which was a yummy version of pad thai with lots of seafood and a sweet, salty sauce.
If/when you go, you must check out the restrooms. There is a 2-way mirror so you can see everyone in the dining room when you are in the bathroom. Strange experience.
So, we loved it. BUT the best part was when we received the bill. Our cocktails and food totaled $56! That's an amazing bargain for NYC! Check it out.
