Hubs and I are taking a cruise.
Now, we're not really cruising people. I'm not even sure what "cruising people" are, but we are the types who like to explore and have authentic experiences. However, we're both worn out and need a vacation where our need to use our brains to navigate is minimal.
So, we're cruising!
Neither of us has ever been on a cruise, so I'd love your best tips on what should and should not be doing
Here are some of the things I've learned so far from lots of reading on the web:
- Our cruise line allows you to bring wine onboard, so you know we'll be buying a box...heh.
- Do not accept the "bon voyage" drink because it will be billed to us at about $10.
- The $11/person/day gratuity for the room itself can be manually adjusted at checkout. Very good to know!
- Our cell phones will work, but at the rate of about $3.99/minute. Ouch...emergencies only!
Again, let me know your advice for cruising!
